Every
time when our assignment deals with the video editing, I could literally feel
my frowning face. It happens because I have no knowledge on Video edition. I
crave to learn about how to edit video since first year as its must in the
college. Finally my wish came true. I was really fascinated and encouraged when
we were practically shown how inserts video, sounds and even slices the parts
that we don’t need.
The
most exciting and effective features that I found useful in daily teaching and
learning is screen recording. Through screen recording, we can make engaging
and enriching tutorials. Every time teaching verbally and lecture method is
monotonous. Sometimes we can teach them through tutorials where we could see
lots of visuals and even audios.
Though
it was little complicated at the beginning, but I enjoyed the journey. I had a
most difficult time slicing the video. I could not select the correct portion
to slice. But with my passion for learning, I have successfully learned to
slice the video correctly.
Tutorials can be
beneficial those students who are visual learners. If you’re someone who learns better when you can see what you’re trying
to accomplish lay out in front of you, then video tutorials are definitely for
you. For pretty much anything you want to learn to do, you can find a tutorial
online that will give you an audio-visual experience to help you through every
step of the process.
Another
advantage of using tutorial is the ability to skip unnecessary parts and watch
important portions multiple times. We can make tutorials using camtasia and
provide to students. They can watch they portion which they think is important
and skip. They don’t have to watch whatever is in tutorial.
As a trial, I have made one tutorial for
making invitation card. Though it was not as good as I thought but it was acceptable
for beginner. But my second tutorial which I created for my second assignment
gave me tough time. I easily prepared presentations but when it comes to voice
recording I had some problems. Whenever I made a small mistake in recoding, I
started from the beginning. Later when I shared with one of my friends, she
suggested me to start from where I have made mistake and at last use the idea
of joining the videos and then slicing the videos where I have made mistake in
recording.
